Conversely, the area's San Juan Islands offer some of the best sea kayaking opportunities in the nation, and a chance to traverse an archipelago of some 170 greenery and forest-filled islands. The area's annual "Ski to Sea" Festival takes advantage of these amazing gradations. Another great stroll is to visit the Peach Arch State Park. You can hike among native flora and fauna, view a spectacular offering of public art, and walk right under the arch that straddles the border between the United States and Canada.
